This week I decided to take a “home” retreat. Richard my partner left early Monday morning and will not be back until Friday evening. Here was an opportunity to practice what I preach. Today is day four and apart from one phone call Monday morning, a visitor on Wednesday morning, I have been alone. No clients, no groups, just ME.
I have been juicing, made a batch of homemade squash & carrot soup, loads of lovely healthy food, stillness, silence and space. I have taken time to read, listen to music, meditate, write, and 1 hour of computer each day. I am feeling good in this place I call home.
THIS PLACE I CALL HOME
My house is silent
It’s energy quiet, expectant
It only moves if I do
It has wrapped me up
Taken me into its heart
It is breathing for me
It whispers, stop, be present,
be here, and create space within.
My house
It is keeping me safe at night,
Letting me melt into beautiful dreams
Waking me when it is morning
Bringing me back safely from nocturnal adventures.
My house
It is with me when I read,
It stays quiet when I meditate,
It watches me in the garden,
Shields me from wind and rain
Occasionally bathes me in sunshine
My house
It is my friend, my comfort,
My sacred space which nurtures me
My place where I am totally me
Happy, creative, thriving
My House
Cosy chairs, soft blankets,
Warm duvets,
Shelves crammed with books,
Pictures and treasured possessions
Lifetime memories
Love
My house
